I decided to cancel my Netflix account because of the Goop bullshit, and also the whole Saudi Arabia thing with The Patriot Act, and it occurred to me that they probably do sentiment analysis on the 'reason' field, so I just cursed at them a whole bunch while saying 'goop', 'pseudoscience', etc.

why are you then on twitter? or internet in general?..

I mean, there's some truth to that but at least you don't pay Twitter or Reddit directly in the sense of consciously transferring money from your bank account into their pockets. Also people are allowed to weigh advantages and disadvantages and make a decision.

I understand the sentiment of not wanting to fund them and support their decisions without deleting all internet accounts straight away. It seems a bit like an all-or-nothing fallacy to imply that cannot act virtuously by not explicitly supporting a platform you disapprove of, without essentially canceling your internet access.
