Declined to give dates of last period… got scolded

These kinds of threads are when people really show off how little they understand healthcare.

First of all, not all doctor/patient interactions are in pre-scheduled appointments. Secondly, how much time do you think health professionals have in between patients? Seriously, give me a number. And when are they supposed to finish their charting? Or order a prescription? And then also hear the next patient complain about how late they are even though there was an emergency and best practice dictates they don’t tell you what the emergency was or why they’re actually late. How much time do you think they have outside of work? The doctors at my outpatient practice leave work at 7PM, sometimes need to do rounds at the hospital before/after work, then show up for work the next morning at 8AM. And they have families too! They literally don’t take breaks because they’re working their assess off. And looking something up in the EHR doesn’t work like a quick Google search or a Facebook Profile, even the “good” EHR softwares are rudimentary compared to what people think they are. They cannot even transfer data between them, that’s why we use fax machines.

You just said that it’s worth criticizing medical Professionals when they aren’t able to look their patients up. They literally are doing their job the best they fucking can. Give them a damn break.
