Deconstructed Nutella

And that has absolutely nothing at all to do with our current conversation. What we're talking about right now is the difference between what I said and what you think I said. That's this conversation. You want to talk about what I said being outdated? Well, we can do that, but that's an entirely different subject than the one we're on right now.

So let's talk about that; Yes, I'm aware current knowledge on Fat is inconclusive. Are you?

-Every- health professional in the world will still tell you to keep saturated fat on the low side. Do you know how I know that? Because I have health issues that I consult with doctors over and because I have the ability to comprehend what I read. I have more than enough reason to read as much as I possibly can on the subject and I've done so, though just like everyone else on this subject, it's ever-evolving because the topic is currently ever-evolving.

The overall consensus that we have right now is that there's clearly more to this than what meets the eye, but for now, we do kind of know how things generally play-out health-wise and that's really all we have at the moment despite that it's obviously an incomplete understanding, which is why the advice given by medical experts is what I've already stated. Anything beyond that is certainly acknowledged, especially as of late, but it's also always noted as being even more inconclusive than what we do currently 'know'.

You're talking about 'outdated' knowledge like we have a consensus on any of it. We don't. But we can still give the best advice possible based on what we do know. Guess what advice that is? Go ask a doctor sometime. They'll be the first one's to acknowledge that there's more to any of this than what we originally thought, but they'll still recommend that you stay away from foods high in saturated fat because we have more to go on in regards to that. Anything else is just a giant shrug in the air right now. Look at the Nutrition Professor who did the 'Twinkie Diet'. What was his conclusion in regards to the health effects of that diet? A shrug in the air. That's a far-cry from knowing how certain fats typically affect your health of which we can actually measure .

Trans Fat is the only thing we know about for sure. Unsaturated Fats are typically better than Saturated Fats based on what we know right now. There's obviously more to it, but we're far from having even a cursory conclusion about it yet.
