Transmog wouldn’t give the community more content to do.

Wrong, it would give players more to do, obviously to unlock the vanity slot on the armor you would need need farm for a specific currency or idk spend money on it so that you can help the devs out more if you want. This would also increase the Raid population because Raid has unique armor so you'll see more people doing harder content so they can look more and more badass.

It would make content irrelevant a lot faster.

Wrong, it would add more content because all the old content with unique armor people would now farm for specific set and pieces to transmog, and this is across all 3 classes.

Once you got a good set of perks , you’d only need every other armor drop once, since you can just change appearances and continue to use the same perks. So you have no reason for duplicate drops.

This is already hard enough, it can take weeks to get a drop with specific perks that you want and with the system as it is now people just deal with wearing shitty looking gear as long as it has the perks they want so it your whole argument is invalid and making content 'irrelevant' is also invalid.

Just look at year 1 D2 for the proof of that. A huge part of the endgame grind is grinding for good perks on the armor you like.

Thats because it could only roll 1 perk, we in year 2 now and its even harder to get the perks you want so again this is invalid.

I'm sticking with my guns that this would be a really good feature for the entire player base, new and old. I want to look good and know that filling out my collection won't be useless like all my year 1 armor, and possibly year 2 armor once year 3 comes around.
