DeezLoader Reborn v3.1.0 final.

I think some people don't seem to understand what downvoting is meant for.. here's what the "reddiquette" sub says: "Vote. If you think something contributes to conversation, upvote it. If you think it does not contribute to the subreddit it is posted in or is off-topic in a particular community, downvote it."

Although.. obviously I have no idea why each person downvoted you. I see 9 points on your post above right now. I know that this thread is primarily supposed to be about Deezloader Reborn (final) and thank you / tribute posts which is totally cool with me, the OP deserves the biggest praise for the best music downloader software since the old days of P2P (in other words, EVER), but personally I don't have a problem with your post, I reckon it's on-topic and contributes to conversation :)

Anyway.. maybe part of the reason you were downvoted is because direct download from Spotify is impossible.

Many softwares claim to do DD from Spotify but they actually DL from elsewhere, mostly Deezer. The claim is usually "download Spotify songs" but that doesn't mean what it appears to mean.

However this isn't really much of a problem because most songs that are on Spotify are also on Deezer, just not all. A few months back cracked Allavsoft from Pirate Bay was recommended in this sub for downloading Spotify playlists; most of the songs come from Deezer but once again there's nothing wrong with that. Just that maybe not all songs will download or you might get the occasional sub-320 mp3 / youtube rip. I got the latter once or twice from Allavsoft.

If direct download from Spotify was indeed possible, the internet would be absolutely shouting about it (reddit / youtube / social media).

In past years DD from Spotify was briefly, sporadically possible but Spotify is really hardcore about protecting its business. They keep beefing up their encryption so that it's been impossible for about the last 3 years or something. I read that mp3fy.com was shut down only 2 days after it launched in 2015/16; this could be wrong though. Perhaps pressure from Spotify killed it. Wouldn't be surprised.

Looks like Setbeat isn't available for PC / laptop so that's me out. But no problem.

Deezloader Reborn is brilliant, as was the original Deezloader. I can't think of better software. OP is a fucking legend. All previous Deezloader contributors are the same. Another legend will answer the call. For anyone to put in so much of their time for others, for absolutely free, is just awesome.

I do have a couple of questions:

Can someone please ELI5:

  1. Why does everyone shit themselves (every single time) whenever they receive a DMCA takedown order? What happens if you ignore said notice? Does the FBI or other hardcore types get involved and investigate you?

I'm aware that if "The Man" wants to investigate a person, if they REALLY want to investigate / prosecute someone, they can and will, no matter how awesome the suspect's VPN is. At the end of the day, it doesn't make any difference if a user's VPN is hosted outside the 5/14/69 eyes countries, because if "The Cops" REALLY want to, they can eventually break through anyone's security / protection. But it's still definitely better to use a VPN hosted outside those "whatever number of eyes" countries. After all, they eventually nabbed Ross Albreight (sp?) from Silk Road after several years of investigating, and he thought he was totally protected on the dark net / dark web / deep web / deep net.

  1. Why is it that.. it seems to be that.. the only site that says 'fuck you' to DMCA and gets away with it is Pirate Bay? What's so special about how they conduct themselves?

  2. Quite frankly, I'm shocked and saddened that an American DMCA law is somehow, seemingly able to control the entire internet, including websites hosted outside the US. I remember that the original KAT (which was shut down in July 2016) used to comply with DMCA even though they were hosted in Romania (?) or Balgaria (?). How is it possible that the long arm of (the American) DMCA can extend to countries outside the US?

  3. Why can't everyone rise up and say "fuck you, you fucking cunt of a DMCA!"

(with middle finger extended)

  1. How long will the MEGA links last before MEGA complies with a DMCA and takes down Deezloader Reborn? Thank [insert god of choice here, or atheism] for people who mirror the installer files and source code. I'm surprised the links haven't been taken down from MEGA already.

  2. I believe.. that if one or two redditors had never snitched to Deezer about Deezerloader because they were butthurt over being locked out of the Deezloader sub which went private, then Deezer might not be aware of Deezloader and they wouldn't be throwing around DMCAs all over the place. This isn't really a question.

  3. To abandon a software project 'just' because a DMCA was sent out to shut down a website publishing download links from a filehost, seems to me like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Maybe the OP can change their online handle and continue with the project? And/or, as another poster suggested, host the installer files (and find an equivalent to Gitlab/Github) in Eastern Europe / Russia? Or just use Gitlab/Github, but don't put download links on the page? Instead, tell people indirectly where to download the installers. Kind of like that Base64.com thing that you sometimes see on Megalinks.

But all this doesn't take away from my enormous tribute and thank you to the OP which I typed earlier in this post. Consider it repeated again now. Thanks for all the fish! Can't thank you enough.

The previous two times that Deezer changed their API was in early January 2018 and early January 2017. Don't take this as a 100% fact though. It's to the best of my knowledge, based on following Deezloader and the other Deezer downloaders since the latter part of 2016, right here in this sub.
