This defeats the purpose of the subreddit

Look, here's how I look at it. Someone comes on here looking a fucking mess, not taking care of themselves, fat, unhygienic, etc. I'm going to tell them what they can fix about their appearance. They made the crucial and difficult step to seek out criticism, and I'll play ball and give it to them. They need it, they know that they're a hot mess aesthetically and they asked for help.

When a person makes substantial life changes, takes better care of themselves, utilizes feedback and makes drastic improvements on their appearance, however, I am not going to be a fucking dick. I'm not going to tell them they're some strong 8 when they're not, but I'm also not going to say that their efforts mean nothing and they'll always be ugly. A big part of physical attractiveness is confidence and personality, and we aren't doing anyone any favors by tearing them down after they make a strong effort to better themselves.

I'm not in the business of making people feel like shit about themselves. I'm more than happy to offer suggestions/criticism to people that haven't taken care of their physical appearance and want to make positive changes. I'm not fucking willing to sit here and tell someone who's trying harder to be better that they'll still always be ugly. If a bunch of miserable assholes want to whine about how we don't tell people who are trying harder that they're still less attractive than average, so be it. Your outlook on life is a lot uglier than their body, I can guarantee you that.

This sub has the potential to build people up and help them to take better care of themselves and improve their confidence and appearance. If your main focus remains brutal criticism just for the sake of it, I don't give a shit about you losing your forum for hate.
