In defence of God of War's Thor

The article is a bit confusing.

Makes the argument that fat is often associated with "greed, gluttony and evil-doing", and then the author is happy about this Thor?

I don't know how familiar the author is with Norse Mythology Thor, but the first two adjectives fit him to a T. And given the world set up in GoW 2018, and the general awfulness of everyone, we know that this Thor isn't going to be a paragon of virtue or anything. Hell, Thor is a dick in the source material, and that's definitely more pro-Aesir than the last game was.

So we're in this awkward scenario where there author is going "I don't like that being fat is associated with X" and then is simultaneously happy that a character is being portrayed as fat, but will almost undoubtedly express those same traits he just said he didn't like.
