Definitely 8 or 9

Table 6. This is a problem. I've been sucked into some kind of branch/pocket universe where the setup in this picture is actually possible. Is there even a school, let alone a whole world outside of those doors? Or is this an imagined/crafted space, the bounds of which only extend to borders of the fictitious photo it is based on?

Do the characters recognize that they have been pulled, or perhaps recreated, in this space? Do they have no memory of the characters that they are based upon? Do I? I must; for if this is not the case, then the me typing this cannot predict the actions of my potentially modified/recreated self. Thus, the opening question of where I choose to sit would be moot.

As for the others, from an outside perspective, both options present the possibility of equally frightening scenarios.

  1. They do not have their memories/ The have been altered in some way to fit the setting. Whether that setting is this single eternal lunchroom, or an entirely separate world where they are students or faculty, it matters not. My chances of returning, supposing I believe the me in this new world is as much a person as the me currently writing this, are virtually nil.

  2. They do retain their memories. This is not the behavior that these characters would act in, supposing they had their memories from Teyvat. It would be utter chaos, them all discussing what's going on, how they got here, if they can get back, etc...... unless. Unless they've been here so long. Trapped in this world they do not feel is their own. The intellect and power of these Gods, Champions, and World-Crossers... they've exhausted every option, every avenue of knowledge or strength that they have... and have been summarily rebuffed. The complacency with which they sit apart, ordered as one would expect of the setting, suggests a deep sense of hopelessness. Of adaptation and acceptance that they will never escape and return to the world they know. I do not have the power or knowledge to cross worlds, and so my addition to the room adds despairingly little to our odds of escape.

These are of course, the most pessimistic outcomes of both scenarios. From a more optimistic perspective this could easily be a separate world entirely, where the weave of fate simply spun these characters together, and they have lived genuinely and happily in this life, sharing only the visual aesthetic of their Teyvat counterparts, with none of the suffering or trauma that world held for them.

However, as you have surely surmised from my more in depth explorations of the earlier options, I consider them to be more likely, particularly because of the outlier of my theoretical addition to the room.

So then, back to the beginning, you might be asking yourself...

Why table 6? If the Twins know nothing, then they are just students, same as the others. They would only be confused if you asked for help returning to your world.

If they DO remember, then didn't you just say they would have already exhausted every option they know? That there would still be no chance to return? Do you think they are the most likely to still be considered the "main characters" in this world? Do you intend to try and gain something by attaching yourself to them?

All very good questions, but you were on the right track when you noted my assumption that there would be virtually no chance of return.

Then what, is it simple curiosity? Since the Twins are reunited, you think they come from a time where the plot has ended? Or is it just about the characters themselves? You just chose that table because you're most interested in meeting them? Or is it not about the twins at all, and you want to meet Jean or Lisa?

Closer.

Surely you didn't spend so much time thinking about the repercussions of each possibility just to be guided by carnal desires? By lust for Lisa's mommy milkers? A degenerate desire for Jean's bare shaven pits? And don't try to pull that "the twins are actually unknowable years old" on me.

Perish the thought. How could you make such assumptions against my character so lightly? No, although I appreciate your exhaustive search for the truth, there is but one thing I have approached that table to confirm.

Appearing in a flash, most of the characters are instantly confused or on guard in reaction to my addition to the room. Calmly but quickly, I move to the food and fill a lunch tray. "Nice, pizza day" I think to myself. With no staff present to stop me, I grab an extra slice. The murmurs have stopped and someone is surely going to confront me soon.

I don't have time to walk around the guidebar, so I carefully turn around and step right over it. Boy would it be embarrassing if I fell right now. I catch Bennett wincing in anticipation. Thankfully I make it over fine, putting me just a few steps away from the Twins' table.

All eyes trained on me, I approach. But instead of directly sitting down, I place my tray on the table. Maybe one of them tries to greet me, maybe they don't. I don't hear them. I have to know. She isn't listed on the picture, but she'd be there, right. She should be right next to the traveller, like she promised she always would be.

I grab the extra slice off my plate and bend down to look under the table. Of course she's there. When characters with a "smart magical pet" get whisked into another world without magic, the pet always gets turned into a normal house pet as a joke, but also to keep them inconspicuous.

"C'mere girl want a slice of pizza? Don't tell the twins I gave you it" I say, smiling. A high pitched voice shouts in response "Paimon is NOT A PET! STOP RUBBING PAIMON'S HAIR!" So she says, her appearance the same as ever. She still took the pizza though.
