The definitive practical-guide to surfing the internet on your smartphone with purpose and intentionality

I just don't get the fact you can't use the phone when you are bored. I must use less than 10 minutes of active use of a phone a day, I do prefer to do my stuff at home on a real computer. Mouse is really superior to fingering the screen "clicking" wrong links in the process.

So, I use my phone only when I am at specific wi-fi hubs at the university (it is not covered everywhere). I get the phone, connect in the uni internet system, check my e-mail. Check if there is some announcement at the students IM group. And that is it! Less than 3 minutes and I am done.

When I have to wait some time for a class I just put my earplugs, set on spotify offline mode and use the phone. I used to do the same with mp3 players back in 2005, before the smartphones. I really see no difference on getting music from an ipod or a phone.

I really don't know how you guys use the phone, but apparently it seems another world when compared to my use. I kill all my internet necessities at home using a laptop for 30 minutes a day.
