If you jab a knife at someone whether you successfully stab them or not, that's attempted assault at best and attempted murder at worst. If you fire a gun at someone whether you hit them or not, that's assault at best and attempted murder at worst. If you're being pulled out of a car with your door wide open blocking in the cop trying to arrest you so if you backup and he doesn't jump out of the way in time at best the door takes him out and folds him underneath it and against the concrete, and at worst he gets pulled in towards and under the tires, that's attempted assault at best and attempted murder at worst. You people are literally too dumb to argue with. There is no way you can reasonably justify a person backing up while someone is half inside their car telling them they're under arrest like "oh, no no, he was just in his way to church and the cop just happened to be standing there, totally innocent mistake".
