Delta Airlines broke my Panthera X wheelchair. Have a nice flight...

Sorry for the delay, I've had a bit of internet problems, I'm back!

So I contacted them by e-mail, with the pictures and the tale, and they said it could take up to 30 days to do their "research"...

So about couple weeks later they kind of told me that all customer care was taken care by KLM France (ehmm okay, great feeling as a Delta loyal customer) and I got this e-mail from a klm.com email:

Dear Mrs XXX,

We write further to your message concerning the regrettable incident to your wheelchair and wish to offer you our apologies for the inconvenience caused to you on this occasion. We would like to inform you that Air France and KLM handle Customer Care correspondence for Delta Air Lines in Europe.

In order for us to proceed with your claim we would be grateful if you could forward us as soon as possible the following supporting documents:

  • Bank transfer details including the IBAN (International Bank Account Number - e. g. ES1234 5678 9123 456 7891 234) together with the SWIFT code, bank name, bank address, currency of your account, full name and address of the Account holder

  • The baggage report (P.I.R.) given to you when the incident was reported at the airport.

  • The boarding pass

  • The receipt for the cost of repair to your wheelchair or a written confirmation from the stockist with the following specifications:

The age and the current value of the damaged wheelchair The type of damage inflicted to the wheelchair A confirmation that the wheelchair cannot be satisfactorily repaired - The original purchase receipt for the damaged wheelchair or the receipt for the exact replacement wheelchair
