Democrats blame messaging for their political problems

What does msnbc have to do with this?

It is frankly unrealistic to believe that actual policy stances are what drives voters at this point. Half of this country doesn't even believe in reality, the amount of people who care about the difference between a single payer healthcare system vs a public option is miniscule in comparison. When fox news gets to change what reality is to half of this country, honest debates about policy are practically meaningless as far as winning elections is concerned.

For fucks sake, republicans through their politicization of COVID have killed hundreds of thousands of Americans. Yet they're still winning elections. That says all that needs to be said. Reality doesn't matter to an incredible amount of uninformed voters.

I dont like this trend where people claim moderate democrats are to blame for the effects of rabid right wing disinformation.
