You seem to have missed the point, which is that reducing the chance of spread/illness is worth making effort. Because it saves lives. Just because it doesn't work 100% doesn't mean it doesn't work.

If you selfishly refuse the vaccine, many responsible companies and organizations have decided you don't get to enjoy all the same privileges that everybody else does, because you're threatening their safety. More important, because they've decided protecting their customers is good business. You refuse to mitigate your risk, you insist on being self-centered assholes, so sorry if most people don't want you on the plane with them, or standing next to them at a concert, or working out next to them in a gym. You have no right to those things, they are privileges, and you're welcome to them when you join the rational majority.
