It's so depressing seeing how much I just spent on fast food in month.

tbh, I find eating out the healthier option if you are lazy/not good with nutrition. It's annoying to estimate the nutritional value of stuff I make myself. It's possible, but it's not automatically done for me and the last time I made an effort to do so, it went very poorly.

I lost more weight during the semester in college I did try and calculate nutritional value with some app and massively fucked up and ended up running -1000 calories average a day (vs breaking even which I thought I was doing) judging from losing 2lbs a week for a semester, which I didn't realize until I went home for Christmas and weighed myself and was like oh shit.

Right now, I eat free office food, and they have nice nutrition labels on everything so I can think about what I should eat and how much. If I were to not get free office food, eating out would be an easy way to access reliable nutrition information, so I don't end up just eating until I get full and gaining weight, or making mistakes like I did in college.
