Depression is hindering my photography. What do you folks do to combat this?

Exercise for 20-30 minutes 3 or 4 times weekly and enough to elevate your heart rate and get sweaty but not too intense that you get hurt or dread it. Get 7 or 8 hours of sleep every night. Go to a cognitive behavioral therapist and follow their guidance. Practice mindfulness and/or meditation. Work on your relationships - keep the ones with people who support you, but boundaries around the ones that do not support you. Notice how you feel when you do certain things and start spending time doing the things that make you feel energized. Eat some healthy food, but you don’t have to be perfect, eat some good tasting food too. Give and get hugs from people you know and trust, laugh with them if you can. Spend time in the same room with healthy supportive people - you don’t to say or do too much, we’re social creatures and need proximity to other people. Go easy on yourself, love yourself and give yourself time and patience. I’m sorry you are experiencing this. You won’t feel this way forever. You are worth taking care of simply because you are here. Be well, my friend
