Depression meal plans?

Hello friend. Here’s what I did yesterday. I bought a small loaf of wholegrain seeded bread, bacon medallions, tomatoes and a small bag of spinach for breakfast BLT’s. I picked up one of those roast in the bag chickens (lemon and herb seasoning) and cooked it when I got home. I pulled the meat off the bones and threw the bones in a pot with onion and carrot to make stock. Once the bones were removed I threw in lentils, carrot, onion and chopped spinach plus some of the chicken meat (thanks to the person who posted their recipe here yesterday for the inspiration!) to make soup which will be my lunches. Dinners, I will use the rest of the chicken with frozen veggies, potatoes, or maybe throw it in with pasta, veg and some jarred sauce. I also picked up a frozen lasagne, and some snacks - fruit, crackers, cheese, crisps (chips?) and some Scotch pancakes (I don’t know what the US equivalent would be) to last a few days. I have to take some nasty antibiotics for a few days and I know I won’t feel like cooking, but want to make sure I’m eating at least somewhat healthily. I know those seem like a lot of steps but honestly it was low effort (I listened to a podcast while making the soup) so if it isn’t too much for you, you could maybe try? A while chicken can go in your slow cooker and you’d have food for at least a few days. All of this cost me less than £20 here in the U.K. shopping at Lidl. I eat kid lunches all the time, nothing wrong with that! Sending you hugs.
