Depression is not the same as low self esteem.

It kinda looks like you are irritated by a separate (completely valid, personally find it annoying when people think that way) complaint.

I'm glad that you manage to love yourself while you suffer from depression. Many many many many others don't. Regardless of their physical attributes. Although spoiler, our society has made it an invisible hell because of the hierarchy of beauty.

Are you high on that hierarchy and it causes you to love yourself? Awesome. Are you low and love yourself anyway? Awesome.

But respectfully setting aside the root of your depression for one second, a lot of people on the lowest end of this hierarchy who suffer from depression do so because of the complexities that come with being low. The media sources that villify you. The things people will say to your face. The things people won't say to your face. The way you manage to be an invisible eyesore.

Maybe that's why people post those statuses. You could argue they might be ignorant or delusional . But if they are like me, I can understand why they would think becoming conventionally attractive would ease the hellish landscape.

It may not be remotely helpful, but you have people telling you you're pretty, smart, etc which is great. Not everyone does.
