DeputySean's Quest For The Best Clothing To Wear In The Hot Sun.

The pockets on the Kuhl Renegade pants have spoiled me. I love having my phone camera on quickdraw from the secure thigh pockets without messing with zippers and without the phone interfering with my hip joint. I was OK in high 90s hiking in them, though I would choose a lighter color than Coal to do it again for an extended trip. I find them pretty breezy and the low stretch means they have some structure that creates air movement, and they dry very fast and are comfortable in heavy rain. I'd like something even lighter, and without the un-repairable front snap instead of a button, but the absence of sufficient thigh pocket on all the other pants seems to be a dealbreaker for me since I just love having my phone there.

They are also very durable. I fell hard on asphalt in them and the scuff from that has not changed or spread after a year, and I feel they protected my skin from worse injury.
