So in Desi’s new IG story, she’s playing “My Type” by Saweetie (I think) and it’s the chorus where she says the N word twice. Out of all the parts of that song, Desi used the part where she’s singing that word. Desi is not black. And this isn’t the first time. Just a few weeks ago, one of the songs (forget which one) said the wire and the word while the song was playing and the word landed right as she turned the camera to a young black boy. I felt major second hand embarrassment.

I don’t think she realized this but I don’t think she’s realizing how often she’s using songs like this a lot. I spoke to a few smaller influencers about it and even they cringed at it. I love Desi. I own all her High Keys. But this is just not sitting right with me I guess.
