Destiny 2 Beta Megathread (SPOILERS INSIDE)

Hi, I'd like to start by introducing myself. This is my first time on reddit, I've scrolled through this reddit and noticed a lot of complaints from both newer guardians and veteran guardians. What I want to attempt to do is help put people at ease about the current beta issues people are complaining about. So lets get down to it: A. Super/Ability cooldowns. In the current state of the beta some of the cooldowns are longer than they were back in Destiny. I'm sure as many of you veterans remember there were stats (intellect/discipline/strength) that changed your cooldowns on various abilities. In Destiny 2's beta it seems the cooldown perks on armor that can be found here will be a primary source of reduction. If you are curious as to the times for abilities in the beta thus far you can find that here. Supers definitely are lackluster in my opinion but the cooldowns are still being worked on in newer builds of the game and I am sure that the current cooldown times will not be the final product. Back in Destiny the cooldowns at their base were between 5 minutes to 5 minutes 30 seconds (Based on class), a small breakdown of this is here. B. Weapons Ammo shortages are a pain and it seems that Bungie is clustering weapons into one slot essentially, however as far as I can tell this will be addressed before the full launch. Balancing is a little off due to the attempt to balance PVP with PVE content, which seems to throw PVE off quite a bit. Someone has already begun making a spreadsheet on current beta values. You can see that here. C. PVP and PVE This is one concern I am not sure if I can help with as it feels as though Bungie is trying to force PVP experiences onto players. I am unsure of what their overall goal in their PVP/PVE balancing is, I feel it should continue with a primarily PVE experience and have PVP as an activity for the primary PVP player. I have a feeling this will be changed before the final release since the outcry seems to be far and wide. I hope I was able to address some of the primary issues, feel free to discuss your thoughts and opinions, hopes and wants for the games final release. Despite the issues beta faces thus far, I still find the game to be enjoyable and have been enjoying the Titan immensely. Thanks for reading.
