Detective Work 02HCW1 : Feb Hero Challenge Week 1 - Twisted Toy Factory

Dear Developers

  1. First of all I would like to congratulate the DCL Devs & Support Team for a smooth & successful (still ongoing) Hero Challenge season. The new & improved login bonus has been very well received by our community & we're very grateful. The improvements on Upgrade Events are also welcomed, it's a little better now. The PVP is getting a little better, I'm glad that our concerns are being addressed & the devs are communicating. Regarding the hackers, why don't the devs just make it a rule for all players to register/link their account before they can compete (get a ranking) in the Weekly PVP Wraith Arena? I think that would easily take out most of the hackers. The way the devs dealt with the Flash Sale fiasco is truly admirable. I honestly believe it was an unintentional mistake, so kudos to the devs for responding in such an impeccable manner. This week will end with another potentially Legendary 5-star character in Robin, but surprisingly, Catwoman, a character i assumed shop-exclusive just like Jessica Cruz, will feature as this week Wraith Arena Reward - that feels like the cherry on top of the cake! I just hope there's another Batgirl Week, because if not, a lot of player will surely be disappointed. More importantly, based on my personal observation, the new characters are very interesting & have their own unique strength, honestly they are really good. This shows that the devs are trying to diversify & balance the current PVP meta by giving great attention to detail. Balancing the meta without having to nerf any of the existing characters is what give players confidence that this game is going in to the right direction. Speaking of that, how about Firestorm, now that he's got his original speed back. Even though I'm a FTP player & I don't really care about Firestorm (mine stuck at Regular 2-star), I must say it's pretty awesome that the devs recognized that it's a mistake to nerf him & reverted him back (because he is not broken or overpowered). Which brings me to my next point, about my favorite character - Batman WGD.

  2. For those who just started to use Batman WGD (or forced to use him for this HC), for your information, he was unfairly nerfed at the end of last year. In his original version, he could gain 100% turn meter up if legendary Synthesize Cure is used on himself (giving him additional turn) & that 100% turn meter up would actually give an ally an additional 100% turn meter, not fill the target's turn meter to 100%. Before the nerf, if the target is at 50% turn meter, with legendary Synthesize Cure, the target will move next & then get back to his/her initial turn meter percentage (in this case back to 50%), but after the nerf, the skill just fills the target's turn meter to 100% (if the target is at 70%, he/she actually will gain 30% turn meter only), & once the turn is over, the target's turn meter starts again from zero (doesn't go back to his/her initial turn meter percentage). Why did I said this nerf is unfair? First of all, he was never a popular character when he was in his better original version. Nobody, I repeat, nobody rated him as a top tier character (apart form me I guess, but as you already know I'm a bit biased when it comes to Batman WGD), which was completely warranted because even back then, he was not broken or overpowered. There was a lot of characters that were simply way better than him, & most of them are not nerfed (I'm not asking for the devs to nerf them now, I'm totally against any form of nerfing, I'm just stating my case for my favorite character here), so why did he got this unfair treatment? Why am I complaining about this, secondly because, it's Batman that we are talking about. A flagship character of the DC, he doesn't deserve this nerf. I'm not even asking the devs to buff his kit up, just begging the devs to restore his original skill back. He doesn't have insane defensive buff like Invisibility, Agility up or Evasion up, his only saving grace is that healing skill that would make him move again. I truly feel bringing his original skill back will do this game justice. He was perfect the way it was, not broken or overpowered, but unique & befitting of the name Batman & the title the World's Greatest Detective. Please let us enjoy this Batman better, like it should to be. The Batman, above any other character, doesn't deserve such treatment.

  3. Looking at the new characters introduced, like I said I can't help but notice that the devs are trying their best to balance the META without nerfing the current characters. Again I would like to reiterate my concurrence with this approach. With that in mind, I would like to propose an idea for a character. Given the current META, my aim with his skillset is to counter the fast characters, & make the slower characters better & more popular in PVP, so that players use characters of various speed rankings in their team (not just fast characters which make the PVP very linear, 1-dimensional & boring). I hope the devs reading this would kindly read thoroughly & consider this idea. It would be awesome if you do, because I put a lot of effort in forming what I think is a balanced & very interesting character. This character presentation/breakdown is rather long & detailed, but I assure the devs it's going to be worth their time & effort.
