why is detransitioning treated like a hideous crime?

I think this used to happen years ago. I hear earlier transitioned talking about shunning detransitioners. In recent years there’s been more acceptance of it. I personally haven’t heard of trans people shunning them. Of course if you search for something you’ll eventually find someone being rude or mean.

It also has to do with people against lgbt issues to use detransitioners as ammunition for no one should ever transition because “see look at that person who THOUGHT they were trans and wasn’t. We can’t let people be trans willy nilly!”

Then it can also do with trans people wanting to stick together with what they have in common. If someone detransitions then good for them but we probably have less in common now. And this person probably doesn’t want to have trans-ness be a focus of their life. They probably just want to move on. But it’s still a big part of my life. So out of respect for each other if we werent really good friends we’d just go our separate ways.
