Detroiters blocking bus of people being deported

Criticism is welcome in my opinion. And you're right to point it out, there is a lot that we could be doing better. There are small things that are done with the group I'm most involved with like sharing rides to and from, paying bus their bus fare collectively, serving food at events or meetings, assisting our comrades in legal trouble and at meetings having a system where we rotate who chairs the meetings so everyone gets represented and a chance at a leadership role, also we have a women's+ caucus since we have more men who attend than women.

A child care program would go a long way, I think. I don't know if it's ever been proposed before, I'm fairly new to being active, but we don't have anything like that now. Since I've been involved our primary work has been to reach out to Muslim and latinx communities, both of which we have large communities in and around detroit, and offer protection or assistance. In this we've been fairly successful in building relationships with these communities but much work is to be done yet in the realms of actually protecting people from ICE and fascist attacks.
