Against an even leveled opponent dropping one unit at a time simply means your one character is going to get wrecked by a team attack.

And guess what? If you drop "one character" and that happens to be mephesto or nathan, they just got a 1 mana advantage for nothing. If it's any other ranged character, it's a guaranteed even trade. Are you saying that if there's a ranged unit on my side of the board, I should just never play a single fighter? That's how I should play because of the existence of one card designed by a bunch of idiots?
