Developers with 20+ years of experience already know the drill

It saves us several hours of manual work per month! Never mind the cost of a team of developers, and maintaining this clusterfuck.

I tried pointing this out very early on, when it was still in the idea phase for the thing I was told to work on (not network related).

We were taking something where a few dedicated people did a massive amount of work, and decentralized it so now every single team in the organization has to budget time several times a year to care about... not to mention all the work to get it setup. Not to mention, the people who built it spend more time building it than the people who were doing the work semi-manually, and they get paid a whole lot more. Nothing about it makes sense. It's a worse experience for literally everyone involved.

I was basically told to shut up and fall in line. I sat back and did as little as possible. Then when it finally launched, all the consumers complained and told them exactly what I told them a year prior before they started work on it.
