Yeah, thank god my loving father, who was nothing but an IT guy for years, had his dispensary raided. If it wasn't for those good cops, busting down our doors then...then my life would have been different.

I was less than a year away from my degree. I'll never get it now. Ill never be able to afford the education I once took for granted. My life will never be the same.

I wasnt always afraid, but now I'll never not be afraid of police. Thinking of my 65 year old father and his sunken in cheeks trying for a smile when he was released from jail makes me sick. I heard sirens for months after. I couldn't walk to class without falling into a panic, which is interesting, because I recall always being in a state of panic anyways. I don't know how I fell apart anymore, but I continued to unravel, afraid for my freedom and the freedoms of those I loved.
