This sub stopped thinking rationally and started circlejerking anti-Blizzard, downvoting anyone that even suggested rational middlegrounds or alternatives, including people that are historically very reasonable and obviously not Blizzard shills, like Kibler, who people shit on for daring to support Blizzard by doing things like... pointing out how toxic this subreddit was causing people to be.

Ironic, you could say that about a subreddit that downvotes and hides from any outside opinion. For about a month now anyone that suggested anything that wasn't "Blizzard = Evil" was called a shill, it sure sounds like this place just wanted to seek some safe space to bitch and moan without considering reality.

For almost a month there was nobody talking about the game here. That's the issue. The entire front page was "BLIZZARD BAD, HERE'S A MEME CALLING BLIZZARD BAD OR PRETENDING SOMETHING THAT ISN'T TRUE IS TRUE TO MAKE BLIZZARD LOOK WORSE", or "I QUIT FUCK THIS GAME", or "I'M PLAYING X OTHER GAME INSTEAD NOW", or "DON'T LET THEM TRICK YOU INTO THINKING A FREE VIDEOGAME IS WORTH PLAYING, STAY ANGRY AND NEVER STOP COMPLAINING", or "IF THEY DON'T TRIPLE THE AMOUNT OF CARDS WE GET FOR FREE THEY'RE EVIL AND GREEDY", or "LETS ALL BRIGADE AND RUIN THE GAME'S RATING ON THE APP STORES", none of which are discussing the game.

You're missing the simple concept that bad PR is bad. The more they interact, the more you'll be able to look back in the future and see about this whole community-driven mess. In a year, someone that skipped a year of playing might check Blizzard's news updates to see what the game has done, and they'll see "rewards track is here" "rewards track adjustments" and "rewards track adjustments 2". They won't see a post Blizzard made saying "We're sorry we're evil and greedy for existing", because Blizzard isn't stupid enough to make posts like that.
