Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes kind of

IT IS REVERSIBLE. Be scared, diabetes really ruins every organ you have. So, be scared and be super vigilant. Ketogenic diet absolutely works.

Lots of us get diagnosed following a very stressful period, because not only stress causes inflammation but we tend to slack on self care during those periods and use carbs like a crutch.

And have hope: I was diagnosed, A1C slightly over 7, got terrified, got advice about keto and started the same day. Followed keto subs, educated myself. In 6 weeks, A1C dropped to 6. Morning sugars took more than a year to come down. I used no meds, just keto. Not even exercise, though it would help. Now, 2 years later, I'm not even prediabetic. A1C 5.3 I no longer do keto, but intermittent fasting and low carb because it's easier. If my blood sugars get out of control, I will remove all fruits and other carbs again.

If you decide to do it, here's a couple of tips: Buy magnesium glycinate, start using right away. Remove all carbs and processed foods from your pantry. Read labels, most innocent looking foods have additives, for example I used to buy organic grilled chicken strips, or whole BBQ chicken, they have bunch of carbs and preservatives. Now I only buy real, whole foods, nothing prepared.

Good luck, it's hard but diabetes complications are harder. You got this!
