Dick’s Drive-In customers donate 24,000 burgers to frontline workers

Fresh produce can be cooked though. And if you can’t cook it, I wouldn’t eat it.

I’ve essentially confirmed that I had/have the virus. I’m at the tail end of it now. My only symptoms were a sore throat and soreness in my lower ribs but I’ve talked to a dozen other people with the same symptoms, a couple of whom tested positive. The only place I could’ve gotten it is Costco about a month ago. That was the last time I left my apartment except to take out the trash or grab my mail. I wore disposable gloves and washed my hands. I was in and out of the store too, grabbed a total of maybe 10 items and left.

Good luck if you want to be safe during all this. I was so goddamn careful but either got it from breathing the same air as someone who was infected, touching something that someone who was infected already touched, or eating something. I got oranges, bananas, potatoes, cheese, milk, lettuce, and a couple other items. I don’t remember a single person coughing or sneezing around me.

So if you want to roll the dice on whether you’ll get lucky and survive this like I did, then that’s up to you. Personally, if I could do it over again, I’d get everything delivered, quarantine it all, and then wait at least a few days before eating it.
