I remember. It was 2010, graduated high school and got my first computer in Uni. I was raised by my grandparents and didn't really have internet at home til then. I discovered 4chan due to the whole "We are Anonymous, we do not forgive, we do not forget," craze at the time. While a den of depravity they opened my naive eyes to the wonders and horrors of the internet all at once. Stayed just long enough to learn about memes, themeing Windows Vista, and piracy.

The day I learned I could pirate video games was the day I became a PC gamer. First thing I pirated was American McGee's Alice and Dragon Age Origins from BTJunkie. Pretty sure one or the other gave me a virus but that trial and error gave me a lot of knowledge of how computers works and funny enough I carry that same knowledge into my jobs over the years.
