Did Any of You Guys Have a Very Puffy Face (water rentention) Before Going Plant Based?

“It keeps happening”, is that to say that this is episodic, or is it chronic puffiness? Is there anything that triggers this specifically: certain foods, sodium, caffeine, stress, cosmetic products, weather? Over the last few years that this has been happening, have you changed anything about your lifestyle or noticed other health changes (and if so, do they also coincide with whatever trigger causes the puffiness?)? Is there any pain or discoloration with the swelling?

It would also be helpful if you could give an average day of food, sodium intake, water intake, sleep, and exercise. We aren’t doctors in this sub, just healthy eating enthusiasts, and we can’t really give any meaningful advice unless we know where you’re at now!

If it’s any encouragement at all, though, my own water retention issues were helped immensely by going WFPB-SOS free. My issues were mainly due to hypothyroidism making my kidneys stupid and bad at their job, and going no salt was a savior for me. Take this anecdote with a grain of salt, of course, as this is my own specific condition and your cause of swelling could be entirely different.
