Did anyone find Advanced Open Water worth it?

I love how observant you are- the account you're responding to was deleted :)

And yet you avoided answering my question: does the ratio apply in the classroom too, or only while in the pool?

First off- you already know the answer so stop being a twat.

Second- not avoiding the question- pointing out that it doesn't apply anymore because no one runs classes that way. Do you really think a large lecture format is a better way to run a class just because it might cost less?

On the contrary: I don't have any qualms about the number being high - although now that you're claiming it to be anomalous, THAT is suspect: I'd expect that nation-wide, that the numbers probably 70%...which is an influence on conversion metics.

WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR POINT? "Oh no! They advertise the open water dives separately! That's bad!". Yes- but a lot places do referrals so that makes sense. "Lots of places do referrals! In fact- I'm going to guess 70% based on no information whatsoever!"

I correct conclusion on your part.

Again- I'm forced to ask if you're illiterate. That sentence is either suppose to be "incorrect" or "a correct" and I have no idea which one. If you believe it's incorrect- do you care to elaborate on which part you feel is incorrect. Because all you have done in this entire thread is spout nonsense with absolutely no evidence whatsoever.

Could it be that you ignored my apology for not already doing so because I'm not on my desktop (hint: mobile device away from home still).

Half my posts to you were from my phone and I had absolutely no problem. Even better- how about you stop fucking responding until you have evidence to post? :)

And yet you try to demand absolute proof of the same in diving.

Quite the contrary- I'm saying there are countless possible reasons. You're the one making the claim that it's a value problem and therefore it is your responsibility to provide the evidence.

Not sad at all: actually quite happy that I didn't let it ruin my life.

And yet here you are- wasting time having a rather inane argument on a small message board on the Internet :)

Because I got OUT, because I saw how exploitative the dive Industry is to its front line workers.

Good- then stay out :)

Simply get out of the trap of the Agencies. Yes, this means quitting as a "pro" instructor. You already know how little money there is in it, as well as how impotent to make change.

If I had a problem with my pay I would. But I don't- you're the one with the problem.

Since they won't change, help them die by starving the beast.

Good luck with that :)
