Did anyone fail their GCSEs at school but retake them as an adult? If so, did you improve you grade to at least a 4/C?

I failed ALL of my GCSE’s in 2010 and it was quite embarrassing at the time. My only option was to take a level 2 BTEC First course in I.T which they said was equivalent to 4 GCSE’s A-C at the time in order to move onto Level 3 BTEC (A-level equivalents) or actual A-Levels.

I completed the level 2 course whilst taking my English language GCSE and passed with a C. I moved to another college and made many attempts at getting my maths GCSE at a C but could only manage a D and then I gave up.

I did a level 3 BTEC course and used that to get into uni :) I went to uni at 19 and have struggled with it since then, doing many retakes and I’m now 25 and somehow (if all goes well) I’ll still able to re-take my last year for the very last time.
