Did anyone go from "I'd vote for a tuna fish sandwich" to really liking Biden last week?

I've loved him since I learned about his work on the Violence Against Women Act. As a child of a mother subjected to domestic violence that did it for me. The fact he did that and THEN CONTINUED as VP on this work just brought home that he's a genuinely good man. I trusted my gut and while I wasn't dismissing the "allegations" against him, I also just didn't really trust them. That's more likely me just being biased than prescient though.

I have family that thinks I worship the guy because I think he can do no wrong. That's just not true. They just think that BECAUSE I defend him from the progressive mud slinging they do. I just really like the guy because....he's just normal. Ambitious like you or me, but also willing to admit mistakes. Does he make amends in order to improve his reputation or maintain his legacy and therefore he's not solely in it for the good things that will come of it? Lmao yeah. Just like you or I would. He's still a guy who had more experience than the first black president and STILL was lockstep with the guy, which that's just a rare quality in non-black folk. Sad, but true. Does he have an ego where sometimes he can't admit he's done fucked up? Yeah, but again.....I am like that. He takes responsibility and as he's gotten older has gotten more used to taking responsibility. When he's criticized he genuinely seems to want to listen.....that is exactly what you want in a politician!

The Democrats get a lot of sh-t slung our way, but those Democrats with a capital D got a lot of historic sh-t done. CHIP, ACA, VAWA, and much more. Couldn't be prouder to be a Dem.
