Did anyone find love later in life?

I found my husband at 36, and hes the most supportive, loving, caring person who adores me. He heals my ptsd, it overwhelmed me before we met and now its something that no longer affects my daily life.

We have a sweet baby together, and a healthy relationship. I felt hopeless like you do, like I was a magnet for toxicity. But eventually I learned to establish firm boundaries, I cut toxic people with a swiftness... I took things slow emotionally when meeting people...

Then I met this sweet guy who loved to come over anytime I asked him to, we would talk all night, he would always give me a massage (I have a spinal injury from abuse)....

Hes an angel. Being in a healthy relationship when my life has been full of abuse and toxicity obviously left me with a few toxic traits like hyper vigilance and emotional disregulation...it caused friction at first. He is patient and understanding, and good at communicating. He supported me in healing these things and I finally feel safe and comfortable and loved.

The best thing you can do to attract a healthy partner is to focus on your mental health and your relationship with yourself. You have plenty of time to find the right person and start a family.
