Did anyone see the snl division skit?

I’m not arguing against the idea that there are always good skits. There are. Kyle Mooney is hilarious and criminally mis- and underused. He had a short a couple weeks ago that got cut for time that was great. I’m simply arguing that the highs lately are not as high as good eras and that it isn’t connecting with the public the way it has in the past.

The Trump era has really broken comedy and I think it’s hit SNL the hardest. They fall flat every week. The best cold open this season was the R. Kelly bit. The cameo impressions are awful. I’m sure it’ll rebound like it always has. It’s had some really bad eras before. Far worse than this. They brought in new people this season that are very funny. They’ll rebound.
