Did anyone try to get pregnant and when they approached one year went to the OB/GYN?

Idk what did it, but it took time. Been trying to get pregnant for nearly 20 years (I turn 40 tomorrow). Never could sustain a pregnancy. I have PCOS, acne, irregular periods, and hirsutism on my face and neck, ugh. Was told it probably wasn't gonna happen for me without expensive medical intervention. I was divorced by the end of my 20s and broke, so no intervention for me. I did get on Spironolactone and high dose oral contraceptives to help clear away excess androgens and tackle PCOS symptoms. Got pregnant a few times, but miscarried. Never could get pregnant when times were stressful, which is like all the time. Then doctor took me off Spironolactone and oral contraceptives for 2 years in 2019. Instead I took herbs like maca and clover. Idk if it helped, but I was desperate to get some estrogen boosting help. Had 1 confirmed miscarriage and 1 suspected during that time. BF and I broke up in early January. To pass the time my ex fiance and I decided to give things another try. I also got back onto Spironolactone at this time and still took my herbs. Doctor agreed I was probably entering peri-menopause so no need to worry about BC while on Spironolactone. A friend also gave me a fertility geode that lives under my bed. All these things, like being happy, having hormones balanced, and timing created my daughter. She's due in November.
