Did Atheism kill Morality? Can the the word and notion of Morality even exist in a world without a God?

Thanks. You seem to know this so maybe to can guide me in the next question too, what the consensus is on whether morality is objective or subjective?

To me there seems to be both a component of nature, a hard coded sense of morality ingrained in our DNA making the same moral judgements for everyone (ie a general sense of "killing is bad"). Then there is a layer of culture, how we interpret this basic intuition, we "modify" it to fit with our lifestyles and what we deem like would be a practical thing to adhere to (for whatever reason) and as a result we have different standards of morality amongs groups (ie some group might decide for whatever reason killing is Never ok, while another will go with that its ok in some situations).
