Why did you buy a Nintendo Switch Lite if you already have a Nintendo Switch?

I’d have bought a Lite as a secondary Switch for handheld gaming already long ago, because I prefer its compact, seamless design for that purpose, but I didn’t get one for three reasons:

1) No cloud save support for Pokémon games and Splatoon.

2) Joy-Con drift. It’s easy to DIY fix regular Joy-Cons or one can just send them in and keep using the console with another pair or Pro controller. If the built-in Joy-Cons of the Lite start drifting, repairing it is much more difficult, and sending in the whole console and risking getting the data wiped isn’t an attractive option. It’s not something I wanted to worry about every time I play a game that uses the sticks.

3) The way playtime is handled. Playtime on multiple systems is not cumulative, but the profile shows the playtime of the system where a game has been played the most.

Admittedly, the third reason probably doesn’t matter to a lot of people.
