Did Casca ever change your way of looking at mental illness and trauma?

Preach. When I was younger and first started Berserk, I thought it was kind of unrealistic how she reverted to such a child like state. But honestly after struggling with depression and bouts disassociation, I get it. Like you said, I was able to maintain appearances. But Caska had a whole lifetime of horror and faced hardcore sexism and objectification daily, and was already depressed and had suicidal tendencies to boot. Then discovering Griffith was a shadow of himself and the eclipse? It was super Lovecraftian, horrors no one is ready for and should never witness. Now that I'm older I really appreciate the cosmic horror of it all, and on top of the fact that the trauma she went through was indescribable, I realize it IS realistic.
