Did you feel sympathy for Malfoy?

There was a line somewhere, regarding Fenrir Greyback, that he would bite the children of his enemies (like Lupin) and the children of those who failed Voldemort.

Lucius was supposed to get the prophecy from the Department of Mysteries in OotP, and then the very next book Malfoy's showing off some Voldemort-proving mark?

I really thought we were going to get a sub-plot about Draco turning, and his parents confronting their newly scarred reality, them turning away from the "blood purity" rhetoric cause it means their prodigal son isn't worthy of their family, and maybe some more stuff with Lupin, like him figuring that out and coming back to help Draco #deal.

But then it turned out it was the regular death eater tattoo and I stopped feeling sorry for the huge upheaval to his life that would've been. Sadly.
