Summer 2009: Becomes young pro at french club Le Mans after a scout discovers him in the Gothia Cup.
January 2012: Cancels the contract with Le Mans to try his luck in England.
March 2012: Presented as a Wigan player in international press after he, according to himself, also having tried out for Sunderland and Newcastle.
July 2012: Wigan manager Roberto Martinez says Alieu Darbo has never been a target for the club.
July 2013: Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb announce that they have signed Alieu Darbo.
December 2013: The contract with Dinamo is terminated.
January 2014: Tries out for finnish club Inter Turku.
January 2014: Is about to sign on for swedish club Jönköping Södra.
July 2014: Presented with jersey number ten by Serie B club Crotone. The contract gets terminated the day after.
July 2014: Confirmed as new signing by swedish club Landskrona Bois. The club later takes it back.
August 2014: Goes to Greece to sign on for Paok Thessaloniki but the club pulls out of the deal.
February 2014: Tells newspaper GP that he has signed for CD Tenerife in the spanish second division.
September 2014: Reported to have signed for the spanish Levante.
September 2014: Claimed to be loaned out to Club Deportivo El Cotillo in the Spanish fourth division.
January 2015: Presented as a new player for Nybergsund in the Norwegian second division. The contract is terminated after two weeks.
February 2015: Signs for maltese club Mosta FC
June 2015: Presented as a new player for algerian club MC Oran.
January 2016: Signs for Al Ittihad Alexandria in the egyptian top league.
May 2016: Al Ittihad informs that the parties agreed to terminate the four-year contract. This is denied by Alieu Darbo himself.
September 2016: Presented as new player by the maltese second league team Naxxar Lions FC.
October 2016: The contract with Naxxar Lions FC is terminated.
January 2017: Alieu Darbo tells Aftonbladet that he is still in Egypt, but also state through his new agent that
a new big club is interested.
January 2017: The agent Roman Skorupa offers Alieu Darbo to 42 swedish elite clubs.
