You just met her less than a week ago. When she escaped for whatever reason she was probably feeling very scared. Then you come around and punish her. I can see why she wouldn’t be feeling super comfy at the moment. I think in that moment comfort would have been a more reasonable reaction. She’s just building trust with you so that kind of reaction could make her afraid / pissed off at you.

As for why she ran off I googled it and shiba inus are known for being escape artists. You need to look things up about her specific breed to know what to expect and how to raise her. Some people suggest getting them microchipped because they will inevitably try to escape.

Not all dogs are the same. For example I have a border collie who is very sensitive to emotions, so raising my voice isn’t necessary, I just need to change the tone and he knows he’s not doing something right. If I yell at him it may affect home more than other dogs.

If she runs away again I would try to reconnect in that moment rather than forcing her to be by herself and locked up
