why did the nazis allie with the Japanese if the germans believed that the Aryan race was superior?

They had common enemies but didn’t have competing interests for conquest due to fairly extreme geographical isolation from each other.

There’s also the thing about how the Nazis didn’t have major issues with races they viewed as “pure” - and they viewed the Japanese as such, but I wouldn’t read too much into that as a lot of their “beliefs” were about giving themselves permission to do shitty things to other people. Guarantee if Japan had instead been in the Mediterranean, or in the Atlantic off the coast of France, or over some other valuable or strategic location within Germany’s immediate conquest plans the Nazis would have deemed them an inferior race in a heartbeat.
