Why did people start hating the sequel trilogy after TLJ when many of the problems they have with TLJ are also present in TFA?

Because butts were hurt. They were always going to be hurt. TFA was the first one and it's just nostalgia and "Awww I remember that!" And it follows a formula. Abrahams is a great director when working with a formula. TLJ has a slightly different feel and because Fandoms believe that they should somehow have a say in the way the storyteller tells the story, they get super butthurt when something happens that they don't like. Then come the trolls, who don't give a fuck either way and fan the flames. I grew up with the first three movies and I love them but I guess I'm not enough of a FAN to get as upset as they do. The sequel trilogy is watchable. Also you could not make anymore and I'd be ok.
