I have only the very vaguest idea who Cardi B is supposed to be and don’t plan on bothering to find out. But I just want to pop in here and be the voice of... reason? Or maybe just a downer, but:

Ya know this is probably all 100% fake, right? Playing a character, kayfabe? No less an authority than George Clinton himself, a man in the very thick of the music world, said right here in a Reddit AMA that none of that gangsta rap isht is real—these people are entertainers, usually well educated suburban kids, great musicians/actors whose act involves living a persona. It’s like those stupid moonshiner or biker gang shows on tv, all of it is staged bc if it really happened then fuck yeah they’d be in jail.

Now I know this is going straight dowwwwwn and everyone will be like “bitch u said it yourself, u know nothing about Cardi B” but I just want to point out the obvious. Once again: don’t believe me. If you disagree, take it up with Dr. Funkenstein.

Personally I am glad to know that crime doesn’t actually pay big glory in the music biz. Now that would be a fucked-up depressing and potentially dangerous message... come to think of it, probably a lot of lives have been destroyed because people did think it was real and tried to do likewise.
