Did I make the right decision?- pls tell me good things about Mac to help me feel less guilty

There is a downside to everywhere anyone chooses, let's be honest. Nothing is ever perfect. But, you're coming into a very welcoming school and just know there's always the ability to transfer if things don't work out, all you got to do is work hard first year.

"I feel guilty knowing that Mac is known for its sciences, and that the average cut off for humanities is very low."

I had the exact same guilt choosing soc sci @ Mac because at the time I applied, the averages for humanities and soc sci were both 75-78%. I thought because I accepted a school thats average was so low, that somehow equated to how good of a school and program hum/soc sci @ Mac is, which is not true. I got into U of T and Queens and was battling between the 3, until I realized that McMaster was right for me and I don't regret my program choice looking back it. It may be rough adjusting to the idea now but after your first two semesters will be the actual time to decide whether or not it was right for you. Who knows, you may have dodged a huge bullet not accepting U of T or Western. Go into September with a positive attitude and work hard, everything pays off eventually.
