P3P IMO is a shit way to experience the game the first time, even as someone who isn’t a huge fan of P3. You lose so much without cutscenes and being able to actually move around. People complain about the squad tactics of P3 FES, but the game is built around not being able to control all of your guys, and if you take a minute to understand what the different modes are, it’s cake.

Anyways, as for the game itself, it is incredibly slow. The first uhhh 4 or 5 months of the game are practically empty. It isn’t until like late August that the story sttttarts to pick up, and you still aren’t going to see breakneck plotting until wintertime, at which point it becomes amazing. It has a very strong finale, all said and done.
