I did it y’all! I paid off a $2k credit card in 2 months by donating plasma and working a side gig in addition to my full time job and raising a toddler. I’m exhausted, but I did it!!! Feels so good to finally see these zeros.

I’ve been carrying a $2k balance on this capital one card for years. I was really irresponsible tbh and in a bad place mentally for awhile.

In July I decided it was time to get serious about getting out of debt. I started donating plasma as a new donor and hit $1k in about 14 visits. Then I signed up as a new donor at another place and hit $400 in 4 visits. Got another 6 visits to go at $100 a pop then im done donating. My body is feeling the effects.

In July I also picked up a side gig bartending concerts and festivals and that pay is very lucrative ($400 a shift). (I have zero experience in this field really, I’ve just been winging it. Found the gig on Craigslist fyi).

I’ve been throwing this extra money at my debt and I’m finally making progress and my credit is going up. I’m almost done paying off my car loan, $1700 left on that. Then I have an $8k credit card to focus on. But one step at a time! Working on paying off these smaller debts first then maybe looking into getting a personal loan for the bigger credit card. We’ll see.

I’m pretty proud of myself right now. I’m exhausted. But it’s worth it to finally claw my way out.
