Didn't think it will be so drastic

sometimes the break from work just reinforces it. as soon as you get back reality comes rushing in. this little dynamic has led me to believe working every single day is actually the way to go in this system. you fall into being content in the routine and you make more money as opposed to always having a little break to remind you of how empty, fruitless, and unfulfilling your life is. as long as you're working, you're safe, but it leads to burnout if your job is stressful and physically demanding. regardless, it's actually really nice giving up your desire for a better life and ceasing to daydream of it. lots of people are like this and until i understood it, it seemed absurd that anyone would be some complacent. but that complacency also brings a certain degree of comfort in many aspects. it's a kind of acceptance. we may be spending our finite time and energy enriching the lives of others without just compensation, but at least we aren't living in a tent in the woods and begging strangers for money.
